Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)
8.00 am: Our driver and tour guide come to pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart to Hoa Binh, on the way our customers can stop at some beautiful attraction points to take the pictures, we also stop at a local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to learn about their daily life and customs; enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass.
At noontime, we arrive in Mai Chau – Lac Village and check in our homestay/ hotel. After that, we will enjoy lunch in the local village/ restaurant
After lunch and a short break, we will take a bicycle ride with our tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves to learn about weaving in the traditional way, we can practice and buy the products after that we continue to cycle around peaceful villages.
Free at leisure for walking, shopping around before having dinner (optional to have dinner & watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”
Overnight in the rural village/ hotel.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong (B, L, D)
AM: After breakfast, we depart to Pu Luong via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley, walking around and explore the beautiful landscape before having lunch.
PM: We start to descend into the beautiful valley where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Trek through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. Your camera will not be able to sit still!
Continuing to the base of the valley, you weave between roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open land. Savor the ever-changing scenery as you trek to a beautiful spot. Then you will be transferred back to your homestay/ retreat for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Pu Luong – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of stunning water wheels. Get up close to each wheel and discover how water is moved from river to handmade bamboo aqueducts via simple constructions of all sizes.
Arriving at a local fisherman’s house, you have a short rest to gear up for the rafting adventure. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts.
After lunch; we drive back to your hotel in Hanoi and finish your tour at around 5 pm.
