Cat Ba Island – 3 Day/2 Nights Tour

Cat Ba Island is the largest one in the Gulf of Tonkin which offers a wonderful destination for ecotourism and trekking the mountain as well as combining Lan Ha Bay Cruise. Cat Ba National Park provides the fantastic inhabitants of different mammals, birds, langurs and some rarest species in the world. Trekking through the park will be a wonderful experience to reach closer and closer the nature, rich forest, stunning views of the mountain and Lan Ha Bay.

Tour itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba Island. O/n In Cat Ba Town (L/D)

Morning activities:

7.45 am: Leave Hanoi hotel and travel to Cat Ba Island, you will be transferred on Hai Phong highway.

When you arrive in Got Ferry, you take an Express boat to Cat Ba Island for travel to Cat Ba town.

Have lunch at a local restaurant and check in hotel

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you are free to enjoy your time in Cat Ba town of Cat Ba Island, have a relaxing and swimming at Cat Co Beach I, II, III.

Then you have dinner at a local restaurant.

Evening activities: The evening is your free time to enjoy the beautiful sights of Cat Ba Town, wander around to enjoy the nightlife on the island. Overnight at hotel in Cat Ba Island.

Day 2: Full Day Cruise Lan Ha Bay (B/L/D)

Morning activities:

After having breakfast at the hotel, our driver will welcome you at the hotel and transfer you to Beo Dock.

Make procedure to get on board, then you start the cruising trip to Cai Beo fishing village. This is the largest and traditional fishing village of North Vietnam. The cruise takes you to pass through Monkey Island (non-stop at Monkey Island).

The boat will reach the heart of Lan Ha Bay where has unique shaped karst towels and emerald water.

Next, you will visit a family fish farm at Di San Floating House. You have the chance to take the photo of a huge “Happy fish”.

Then the cruise continues having journeyed through the magnificent landscapes before parking at Dau Be Island. Here you discover the bay beauties on kayaking at Ba Ham Lake, see the hidden lagoon with lots of stalactites hang down from the ceiling cave creates strange shapes and sizes. This option depends on the tide level of the bay.

Option 2 when high wave: Cruising through Cua Van Floating Village, passing Rang Dua Island, Frog Island,... Then go kayaking through Dark Cave, Bright Cave)

Have lunch with seafood and traditional Vietnamese food will be served while the boat keeps cruising. After lunch, our captain will choose the best area to anchor. You will have time to relax then take part in interesting activities: jumping from the top of the boat or swimming in Ba Trai Dao Beach.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you continue your cruising back the harbor, you arrive in the dock at around 16.00 pm. The driver transfers you back the hotel. Have dinner at the local restaurant.

Evening activities:

Have more free time in the evening for free walking around Cat Ba Town and get more experience in your own way on the island. Overnight at hotel in Cat Ba Island.

Day 3: Short Trek in Cat Ba National Park – Hanoi (B/L)

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at the hotel. This morning you leave your hotel for Cat Ba National Park and have short trekking to discover the national park beauties. You will visit Trung Trang cave - an easily accessible, but you will need to contact a ranger to make sure it is open. Remember to bring a torch (flashlight) as it is gloomy inside. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you continue your cruising back the harbor, you arrive in the dock at around 16.00 pm. The driver transfers you back the hotel. Have dinner at a local restaurant.
