Full Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Hoang Su Phi (L/D)

Morning activities:

Leave hotel in Hanoi in the morning with our guide and driver to Ha Giang Province – The northern one in Vietnam where is famous for mountain landscapes, terrace fields and flower seasons, etc.

You will travel through Viet Tri and Tuyen Quang on Route # 2 through the famous Red River Delta region. You will visit the Ethnology Museum in Tuyen Quang to get the cultures of Vietnam. Have lunch at local food-stall.

Afternoon activities:

You continue the trip to the most breathtaking in Vietnam. Have the chance for the stopover at some places en route to take photos and chill out its beauties of villages. You will arrive in Ha Giang, you will first visit Hoang Su Phi which the most beautiful is in Summer - the time of rice crop. In May beginning of the rainy season and then September and October is the most beautiful time for photographers look like a vivid picture, with different colors...

And then you travel to the local family stilt house of minority people.

Evening activities:

Have dinner with the local family with their food. Free to walk around the village and explore the village beauties. Homestay at stilt-house.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B/L/D)

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at stilt house. This morning, you start the new day to discover Ha Giang. Because Ha Giang still requires a permit, our guide will make the permission at the small office in the town. You will have the admiring beautiful mountainscapes and pass through stunning passes, rolling mountains, and valleys. Have lunch on the way.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon, you continue the journey and see imposing pine forest at a Hmong village. This is the place of the powerful Vuong family. The palace is as the store for opium and weapons in the past and visits it will give you the glimpse of Hmong Royal life in the past.

After independence, the palace was evacuated in 1950 and the descendants of this influential H’ mong family now live in France and Canada.

Next, you will continue down the sweeping roads until you arrive in Dong Van at around 18.00 pm.

Evening activities:

Get around Dong Van, check in, have dinner at the local family. Here is the chance for you to chill out in Dong Van. Interact with local minority people to understand more their life and culture. Overnight at stilt-house.

Day 3: Dong Van – Lung Cu – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B/L/D)

Morning activities:

After breakfast at stilt house, if your travel date is on Sunday, you can visit the weekly Dong Van Market to meet the local minority people and by the fascinating handmade goods and special products.

Next, you will then climb up above the town to Pu Lo - A French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. From here, you explore and see the fortress as well as enjoy the incredible views.

Visit Dong Van Rock Plateau to get its special and get more enjoyment of its beauties. And more discover and view of the north pole of the country when conquering Lung Cu Flag Tower.

You will hit the road to get the experience at one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam, especially Ma Pi Leng Pass. At the height of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains which gives the spectacular views of the valleys and terraced fields. All decorate the wonderful scenery along mountainsides. The driver will continue drives you through zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon & evening activities:

After lunchtime, you continue this afternoon to return Ha Giang and more chance to pass through mountain loops. Check in the homestay. Have dinner at a local family and have more chance to interact with local people to get more their cultural knowledge. Overnight at stilt-house.

Note: If your travel time is not on the Sunday market in Dong Van, you will visit Lui Market can be arranged depending on the departure date.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Hanoi (B/L)

Morning activities:

Have breakfast in the family. This morning you will leave Ha Giang for return Hanoi city. You will return by the same route. You have more chance to stop to take photos of the magnificent mountains en route and make the most of your last bit of time in this magnificent region. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon our guide and driver take you to leave Ha Giang to return Hanoi city after lunch time. More chance to catch beautiful mountain scenery again along the way. You arrive in Hanoi late afternoon around 17.00 pm. Say goodbye to you and wishing to travel with you again for other destinations in Vietnam. Wishing you a wonderful trip with us!
