Hue - DMZ Full Day Tour

Full Itinerary

In the early morning, around 06.30 - 07.00, you will be collected from your hotel to Dong Ha town in Quang Tri. Along the way, there are some stops including Highway of Horrors, AI Tu Airfield which was considered the biggest airfield in the first tactics zone. Continue onto The Rockpile which is one of the most recognizable features in Northern Quang Tri Province.

Proceed to the Dakrong Bridge which is considered the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh Trail network leading you to Hamburger Hill and Asha valley. The highlight of this morning is Khe Sanh Combat base - a United States Marine Corps outpost south of the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) used during the Vietnam War. Drive back to Dong Ha for lunch on your own account.

In the afternoon, make your way to Gio Linh Firebase - a former U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) firebase north of Dong Ha in central Vietnam.

You then take a walk on the Freedom Bridge across the Ben Hai River. Continue driving past Cua Tung Beach which was once said to be “the best of best beaches”.  The last stop in your history discovery is Vinh Moc Tunnels. The Vinh Moc tunnels are tunnels used by North Vietnam army to fight against the Americans during the Vietnam War and used by the civilian population to protect themselves from the American bombing.

Transfer back to Hue city. End of services.
